My New Favorite Books!

Katie Browder has told me probably a thousand times to read these books and that I would LOVE them. Well, I read them and I do LOVE them. Everyone needs to go out and buy these books...movie comes out March 2012!

Bathroom Redo

So it's been forever again...that's just how I roll. During spring break I was actually really productive and painted my bathroom and master bedroom. Here are some pics of the bathroom. Here is a little back story...the whole house had fabric on all the walls. When we moved in only two rooms still had fabric. The bathroom was the last room and it took me forever to decide to start on it. I still have to probably repaint it, but it works for now.

The bathroom before...ugly I know.

After the fabric comes the batting...

Now the bare walls

One finished wall.

The finished touch...well not totally finished, but good enough.

p.s. there will be more blogging to come...hopefully.

The best present ever

If you know me, you know that I don't really like suprises. I was the child growing up who would try to open Christmas presents before the big day. I once had a surprise birthday party my freshman year of high school and I started crying when all my friends suprised me. I was totally caught off gaurd and I really appreaciated it, but I just like to know what's going to happen. I like to control things (which I am working on) with makes it really hard for people to surprise me.

Well this year I was totally surprised for my birthday and I loved every minute of it. Heath and I were on our way to dinner and there was a bag of a 5k things that we had gotten. He tells me to see what size the t-shirt was and so me not thinking anything of it just opens the bag. And WHAM there's a NOOKColor that I had really wanted, but had thought that I really didn't need it. I was so suriprised and so thankful that he had gotten something that I really wanted. It was one of the best presents ever.

you can get the nook color here: www.barnesandnoble.com

Only 7 months since the last blog

So I thought I would be good at this whole blog thing, but it turned out that I'm not. It's only been I think 7 months since my last post. I promise I will start to be better at posting. I have a charger that works now...so now I can actually post pictures.
We went on our annual baseball trip with the Griffiths to St. Louis this year and it was so much fun. On Sat. we went to the Arch, antique shopping and the Cardinals baseball game.
On the way to the top of the Gateway Arch you have to take this elevator that is so tiny. This is what it looked like with no one in the elevator.

And this is what it looked like with 5 adults and 2 toddlers.

At the top of the Arch.

Under the Arch is a museum that we got to explore.

The Gateway Arch

Playing in the water under the Gateway Arch.

We went to see the Anheuser Busch Clydesdales...they were HUGE.

I love this picture of Beau!

Marlee getting to feed the goats.

At the St. Louis Baseball game. Our annual baseball trip with the Griffiths.

We got to spend the weekend with
this wonderful couple!

Heath and Marlee at the St. Louis Zoo.

During one of the lake house weekends...I think it was Hollee who got this great idea to put Mylee in a baby gate. So we got the gate out and put the little rascal in and had many good laughs.

Lilly wanting to give Mylee some grass or something...I really don't remember.
It was the one chance all the kids could go up to Mylee and not have this crazy dog on them.
side note: (She has calmed down a lot this year so hopefully no more baby gate).

Her many attempts to jump out. After about 10 minutes she did finally free herself.

Note to self: 6:00 a.m. is WAY too early to eat breakfast. It is made better though, if you get to sit with these friends!
My sister and I waiting for the homecoming parade to start.

Heath and I got the chance to go to the World Series with his dad.

We even saw Dr. Phil while waiting to get in.

Happy Birthday Mylee...and yes it does say "yappy"

Merry Christmas 2010!

Your Jamaican Me Crazy! Part 2

So after a week, I have finally gotten around to posting the second part to the Jamaica post. Heath had to leave on Thursday, which was kinda sad. Thursday and Friday were so much fun that I was sad that He couldn't be there to experience everything with us. So drum roll please here are the rest of the pictures...

Heath, Sam, and Chad got to go scuba diving.
This was us the night before Heath had to leave.

This is a picture of all the different types of activities we were able to do on the beach.

A view of the rain from our little hut.

All the girls dancing with Zoe!

On Thursday night the Hotel had a Sesame Street Parade. We're now just waiting for it to get started.

The crazy guys getting the parade started.

The marching band playing all the Sesame Street songs.

Beau, Mamma H and Burt or Ernie...I really can't remember.

Chad with either Burt or Ernie...still dont know.
Me and Lilly with Elmo...and Sam creepin from the back.
Elmo time

G Daddy with Marlee watching all the characters dance.

Marlee, Beau, and Lilly watching all the characters.

After the parade and dinner we went to watch a show... Did I mention that there was no air conditioning. That is why our hair is dripping with sweat!

Hollee, Me, Bill, Myra and random lady all got to ride the banana boat. So here's a funny story. It was kinda boring, you can only go 15 mph. so it was super slow. At one point I turn to Hollee and say "wouldn't it be funny if we all fell off," well wouldn't you know what just happened after that comment. We all leaned the opposite way when we turned, so we all fell off the banana boat. It was just about the funniest thing that happened during the trip!

On Friday we took a glass bottom boat tour..it was ok. Here's a picture of Hollee and Lilly.
As you can tell Marlee wants to see over the edge.

Beau fell asleep 5 min. after take off.
All of us after a show.
Marlee and Conrad! Conrad was our butler who did a fantastic job taking care of us!
