Easter Catch-Up

Well... Happy EXTREMELY LATE Easter!

I decided that I wanted to make rainbow ice cream cone cupcakes. I was not thinking when I got the ice cream cones and got like the smallest size. So rainbow turned into solid color cones, which turned out to be the perfect size cupcake!

What they looked like before I baked them.

The finished product. I put green icing with green sprinkles and then bunny marshmellows and jellybeans.

The table decorations that Hollee and Myra made...and yes that is real grass.

Lilly and Marlee

Sweet Lilly and Heath

So I had to crop this picture big time, bc if you know Heath as soon as we got to his parents house he put on basketball shorts. I decided the hat was ok, but the shorts had to go!

Disneyland...where dreams do come true

This year for the Huston family vacation we went to Disneyland, Sea World and The San Diego Zoo. Here are some pictures from our trip to Disneyland...beware I love parades and so there's LOTS of pics from the parade that we went to.

If you have never been to the parade of colors I highly reccomend it. It's like a Vegas water show, but with Disney movies shown through the water. This is horrible picture of the ferris wheel while we were waiting.

The start of the parade...beware lots of pictures.

Ariel

Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Rapunzel

Belle and Cinderella...and yes Cinderella is looking right at Marlee!

Simba

Princess Tiana

I love this picture of Marlee looking at Princess Tiana

Let's Go MAVS!

Tennessee

Now since school is out I can finally start to update this blog. The whole Huston family got together this past spring break to celebrate Granddad and Nanny's 60th wedding anniversary. It's so amazing to see two people still in love after being together for 60 years. They are setting such a great example to me and Heath. We went to the mountains of Tennesee and our house for the weekend had some amazing views.

We went to dinner in Pigeon Forge and let me just say WOW! I can't really describe how crazy it is, but it's like a strip full of weird museums and race car tracks. Here is the Titanic with the full iceberg and everything!

The upside down White House...not sure what this was supposed to be.

Grandad and Nanny with their great-grand kids

Chad and Lilly

I love this picture of G-Daddy and Marlee

Heath and Lilly at the Aquarium in Gatlinburg

What a weird fish...

My New Favorite Books!

Katie Browder has told me probably a thousand times to read these books and that I would LOVE them. Well, I read them and I do LOVE them. Everyone needs to go out and buy these books...movie comes out March 2012!

Bathroom Redo

So it's been forever again...that's just how I roll. During spring break I was actually really productive and painted my bathroom and master bedroom. Here are some pics of the bathroom. Here is a little back story...the whole house had fabric on all the walls. When we moved in only two rooms still had fabric. The bathroom was the last room and it took me forever to decide to start on it. I still have to probably repaint it, but it works for now.

The bathroom before...ugly I know.

After the fabric comes the batting...

Now the bare walls

One finished wall.

The finished touch...well not totally finished, but good enough.

p.s. there will be more blogging to come...hopefully.

The best present ever

If you know me, you know that I don't really like suprises. I was the child growing up who would try to open Christmas presents before the big day. I once had a surprise birthday party my freshman year of high school and I started crying when all my friends suprised me. I was totally caught off gaurd and I really appreaciated it, but I just like to know what's going to happen. I like to control things (which I am working on) with makes it really hard for people to surprise me.

Well this year I was totally surprised for my birthday and I loved every minute of it. Heath and I were on our way to dinner and there was a bag of a 5k things that we had gotten. He tells me to see what size the t-shirt was and so me not thinking anything of it just opens the bag. And WHAM there's a NOOKColor that I had really wanted, but had thought that I really didn't need it. I was so suriprised and so thankful that he had gotten something that I really wanted. It was one of the best presents ever.

you can get the nook color here: www.barnesandnoble.com

Thank you Husband!
